A CONVERSATION ABOUT CRAFT, SPACE, AND SLOW MAKING
As part of The Creative Series, in collaboration with The Curated Lisbon, The Vintage is hosting a moderated panel discussion on the occasion of Lisbon Design Week.
Quiet Objects is a contemporary textile art exhibition currently on show at The Hangout, and the panel brings its themes to life through the voices of the five artists behind it, discussing textile as a living artistic medium: tactile, sculptural, and quietly transformative.
Moderated by Inês Baptista da Câmara, CEO of Studio Astolfi and a strategist working at the intersection of luxury branding, contemporary culture, art and design, the discussion will move across questions of materiality, craftsmanship, and the role of handmade objects in today’s spaces. From the sensory presence of fibre-based work to the ethics of slow production, it’s a conversation for anyone who believes that what something is made of, and how, still matters.
The participating artists are Vanessa Barragão, Olga Ermol, Mariana Ralo, João Bruno Videira, and Marta Ramada Leite.
Collectors, interior designers, architects, curators, and the culturally curious are all welcome.
