AN OLD TECHNIQUE, A NEW RING, A PIECE MADE ENTIRELY BY YOUR OWN HAND
Part of The Creative Series, a curated cultural programme developed in partnership between THE CURATED Lisbon and The Vintage, this experience invites you to engage with Lisbon’s creative community in a more meaningful way.
Led by jewellery designer Sofia Esquivel, this session introduces the traditional lost-wax casting technique, one of the oldest methods of jewellery making. Guided carving and sculpting in wax become a way of exploring material, form and personal expression.
Working directly with your hands, you’ll design and shape your own ring, discovering texture and proportion as the piece slowly takes form. Once complete, your wax model will be professionally cast in silver and finished, resulting in a bespoke piece to wear and treasure.
An intimate, small-group experience that turns a simple idea into a lasting, wearable piece.
