NEIGHBOURS WITH DIFFERENT STORIES
Two wine cultures. One shared heritage. A world of contrast.
This tasting moves across Iberia, tracing the subtle (and not so subtle) differences between Portugal and Spain. We begin in the Atlantic, where volcanic wines from the Azores and Tenerife reveal a raw, saline character shaped by wind, sea, and survival. A true island encounter.
From there, we head inland. Same grape, different identity. Tinta Roriz in Portugal, Tempranillo in Spain. Here, the story shifts from nature to human touch. Structure, philosophy, and interpretation come into play, showing how winemaking choices shape what ends up in your glass.
Set in The Hangout, the evening flows between pours and playlists. Vinyl in the background, a slow-building rhythm in the room, and just enough pause between each glass to take it all in.
Across both flights, expect a dialogue of place and perspective. Familiar roots, expressed in entirely different ways.
